Find out if your pieces actually mix before you try them on

The Outfit Mixer Score Calculator helps you predict how cohesive a set of clothing items will be as a mix-and-match wardrobe. It’s for shoppers, capsule wardrobe planners, and stylists who want to know whether a selected set will create multiple outfits—or just look good in isolation.

How the 0–100 Outfit Mixer Score is calculated

First, the calculator averages your three compatibility inputs—color compatibility, style compatibility, and formality match—then scales them to a 0–100 base score. Next, it multiplies that base by a versatility modifier (low = 0.8, medium = 1.0, high = 1.2), and caps the result at 100. Finally, it estimates how many wearable combinations you might get using your item count and the same versatility modifier.

Why two outfits can score differently (and what the score doesn’t see)

This tool focuses on three broad dimensions, so it won’t account for weather, body fit, exact fabric weights, or how specific proportions read on you. Even with a high score, items may not feel cohesive if they rely on similar styling tricks (e.g., all oversized silhouettes) or if one key piece clashes with your personal style preferences. Treat the result as a mix-compatibility proxy—not a guarantee of how every pairing will look on-body.

Avoid these common mix-and-match interpretation mistakes

If any one of color, style, or formality is below 4, the mixability verdict is reduced by one level—even if the overall score is decent. Conversely, if all three are 8 or higher, the verdict can be upgraded by one level (up to “excellent”). Also remember the “estimated outfit count” is a rough proxy based on item count and versatility; it won’t reflect real-world constraints like missing anchors (e.g., no easy top) or limited layering options.
